Behind the scenes at LJF its proper busy at the moment. We’re well into production - trying to make sure we have enough stuff, enough people, enough pieces of paper saying the right kind of thing on them etc etc etc.
One of the massive new things for us is our brand new Sun Square Stage thats going to be happening on Saturday 20th September. If you’ve never been there it’s a beautiful hidden space right in the heart of Lancaster surrounded by cafes - it’s a natural performance space and we’re so excited to have it as part of the festival.
Once of the (many) issues however is the fact that at the moment it’s just a square - not a festival stage. So that’s what we’ve got to make pop up in a day and that’s where we need just a bit of help to pay for it. We’ve worked non stop since last year to fundraise and support the festival - we’ve nearly doubled our artist fees this year, we’ve secured Arts Council funding to ensure we can continue to grow with our expanded festival team and we’ve working closer than ever with local businesses, emerging and young artists, audiences and arts organisations. But we’re just a tad short.
I’ve said every year that the festival is bigger and better and massively ambitious and it is no more so than this year. So if you can give us a tiny bit of your hard earned cash we can ensure that it’ll be as amazing as it is ambitious and be assured we’ll make every single penny work ridiculously hard. It’s going to be a really cool.

And to be honest who wouldn’t want coffee with Dave Shooter?
