Inside Outside write melodically strong, harmonically interesting and rhythmically unusual originals as a basis for improvising both as soloists and in counterpoint. They augment these with a healthy selection of standards - “because we feel there is still lots of scope for creative improvising within them and we love the tunes!” The duo format allows these two hugely experienced improvisers the space to explore the absence of bass and drums and to really play the natural acoustic of a venue or space. The Hall will provide an excellent natural sonic platform for them to ply their art in. This will be a fascinating and intimate gig with two masters of their craft.
