Mosaic is “a cool but very joined-up genre-crossing” (John Fordham, The Guardian) ensemble, featuring an unusual line-up of highly acclaimed musicians, which is fast gaining a reputation for fascinating textures, fearless improvising, and irresistible compositions. Their latest project, The Twittering Machine, is inspired by the musically-charged work of Swiss-German artist Paul Klee. Each composition is an interpretation of a different picture by the artist, himself a musician, and brings together influences of Steve Reich, Steve Martland, Gil Evans, and Kenny Wheeler. Mosaic released its debut album, Subterranea, on Edition Records in 2016.
