Winners of the Peter Whittingham Jazz Award, and nominated for 'Young European Jazz Artist', World Service Project have exported their unique brand of anthemic punk-jazz to eighteen countries of the world. With their fourth album, "Serve", released earlier this year they create an intriguing mic of Frank Zappa, Weather Report, Meshuggah and Stravinsky - all spiralling around in a Monty Python universe. A high-energy live show and do-or-die attitude accompanies on-stage theatrics to send audiences on a rollercoaster journey of pure gesture, emotive content and heavy grooves. These five disillusioned British 'soldiers' have broken away from the established order and are looking to 'serve' all they come into contact with with an open heart and collaborative mindset.
