Led Bib

Sun 15 / 7pm / The Round, The Dukes
Sharron Fortnam voice / Chris Williams saxophone / Pete Grogan saxophone / Elliot Galvin keyboards / Liran Donin bass / Mark Holub drums

Led Bib, known for their boundary stretching rock and jazz, that garnered them a Mercury Prize nomination and a fistful of prestigious awards, set off last year in the hull of a boat in east London, together with lyricists and songwriters to create a suite of songs. Emerging from their underwater session, elements of their groovy, heavy, improvised sound remained but they were now set against fragile vocals and poignant lyrics, taking them into a much gentler song world. The result of the session, is called 'It's Morning' and comes out in September. In the spirit of a classic LP it features two sections of music and at this concert the band will perform and expand upon the album. The music is very much a journey from start to finish and this will be fully reflected in the live show.

Led Bib have been together for 15 years and have released nine albums to huge critical acclaim. This album promises to bring them to new heights with its mix of the classic 'Led Bib' sound and this new broadening into the world of songs.
