The Storey Triple Bill

Rob Bentall

Sat 14 / 3pm / The Storey Auditorium
Rob Bentall nyckelharpa, electronics

Rob Bentall is a composer and performer working with electronic sound and live instruments. His works hybridise ambient, folk, and improvised music. Rob has studied the nyckelharpa, learning Swedish traditional tunes and techniques before deconstructing them and turning them into new, semiimprovised
compositions. He fuses electronic elements such as live sampling and multi-track looping into this unique performance. The resulting music is both intricate and beautiful, shedding new light on the distinctive timbre of the nyckelharpa.
