Supporting the John Pope Quintet on this gig are 40,40A. Still in their teens, Esther and George couple huge amounts of youthful excitement and enthusiasm with prodigious technical chops and an uncanny depth of maturity in both their writing and playing. The duo fuse elements of jazz, prog and drum & bass to create a unique and potentially musically threatening experience for the listener. The band’s influences include Clown Core, black midi, Jacob Collier and many more formidable forces of nature. John had a ball working with them and we think you will have a ball listening
to them.
