Art vs Jazz

On Saturday we will be exploring the intersection of jazz and other art forms as well as hosting an open workshop with our
Artist in Residence Charlotte Keefe.

12:30 – 1:30 WordPlay poetry and jazz experience hosted by the Wordarium

2:00 – 3:00 Art vs Jazz  performance from creative jazz quartet Sun Dogs with an open invitation to visual (and other) artists to attend and respond to the music

3:30  – 5:30  Charlotte Keeffe workshop* our artist in residence is right here, right now! with this creative jazz workshop. Participants will be offered the opportunity to play on a couple of numbers at Charlotte’s performance on Sunday.

5:30 – 6:30 Jilly Jarman and Geoff Bartholomew multi-layered inventive improvisations and compositions

6:45 – 7:45 Persimmon creative jazz explorations

8:00 – 8:15 Beatspeak beat poetry with Neil Wilson & James Mackie

9:00 – 11:30 Lancaster Jazz Jam* We are pleased to be hosting this well-established local jam session run by Lancaster Jazz Scene. Firmly based in the local community it is inclusive and caters for all abilities. Come along and play or just hang out with us.
