Influenced by artists such as GoGo Penguin and Fabiano do Nascimento Portico Quartet, this project takes the sensitivity and emotional depth of acoustic and ambient music and brings it into a world with infectious rhythms drawn from Rory’s West African heritage.

His guitar speaks in multiple dialects – weaving West African rhythmic sensibilities with European harmonic frameworks into
a sound that’s both globally informed and deeply personal.

The Manchester-based composer has become a fixture at prestigious venues across the UK, sharing stages with an impressive roster of boundary-pushing artists, including jazz guitarist Mansur Brown, electronic producer Kessoncoda, and contemporary classical pianist James Heather.
