We thought we’d celebrate International Women’s Day by giving a shout out to some of the brilliant female artists who have played at Lancaster Jazz Festival over the years.

We’re always looking at how we can make our submission process and our commissioning as inclusive as possible – if you’ve any suggestions about how we can improve, we’d love to hear them!

In no particular order, here are just some amazing of the amazing jazz musicians, composers and improvisers who have recently played at Lancaster Jazz Festival.

Maja Bugge

Emma Johnson

Sarah Heneghan

Sarah Heneghan is a mutli-instrumentalist and composer. Sarah has played at the festival as part of Beyond Albedo, she also has a solo project Power Out.
