Mark Kavuma has earned a reputation as a leading figure in British jazz and was recently crowned Jazz FM’s Instrumentalist of the Year for 2025.

Equally adept at both performing on the cutting edge of London’s vibrant nu- jazz scene and mentoring emerging talent,he balances community engagement with his artistic pursuits and has released eight critically acclaimed albums.

Through the Banger Factory collective and its associated record label, Kavuma creates a platform for emerging artists to refine their craft and innovate. His vision is to empower musicians to flourish creatively and reach
their full potential while shaping the future of music beyond traditional boundaries of genre, gender, and geography.
